Nery Garcia

Nery Garcia is the founder, owner and director for Elegant Rumba Dance Company. Born in Newark, New Jersey, Nery grew up dancing folk dances native to his parents' Latin heritage. After a visit to California in 2003, his passion and love of dance expanded to include the L.A. style of salsa. His ability to quickly acquire the moves and techniques of this flashy style led him to quickly become a permanent fixture in the L.A. style salsa scene. Nery has performed, given workshops, and taught classes internationally aboard cruise ships. He has danced with some of the most prominent dancers in Latin dance world and has gained the respect of his peers due to his technique which exemplifies style, grace, and sophistication.

Anthony Tineo "Kumo"

Anthony "Kumo" Tineo is a dance instructor of Elegant Rumba Dance Company.  Anthony grew up in Key Largo, Florida and started dancing when he was a teenager.  He started with break-dancing and was later introduced to Latin Styles of dance.  His experience started with Fred Astaire Studios, followed shortly by Larry Saunders of Naples Crystal Ballroom.  Although, learning the L.A. Style with Nery Garcia for several years, Anthony's skill has led him to progress rapidly and become a popular member of the salsa community.  Anthony has performed at several different events, including festivals and weddings.

 Giana Montoya

 Giana Montoya is a professional dancer, actress, choreographer, and director of SHIVA LATINA, who inspires her students to reach new levels in both social and professional dancing. She fuses her skills and extensive training in Salsa, Latin, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Musical theatre, Yoga, Burlesque, Modern, and Flamenco, creating powerful, emotional, and sexy performances and choreography. She has won numerous championships and is the 2006 and 2007 champion of the “So You Think You Can Dance” HSF Freestyle Competition (San Jose), the 2009 Professional J&J Competition (SJ), and has performed and competed at such events as the Mayan Competition (Los Angeles), the West Coast Salsa Congress, Las Vegas Congress and the SF Salsa Congress. Montoya is a guest instructor, performer, and coach for many venues across the country. In 2009 she founded her dance company, SHIVA LATINA in Sacramento, CA and has since expanded coast-to-coast to Florida where she has joined her partner, Nery Garcia
